Fees & Rebates
At Peak Minds, we believe in providing affordable services for clients, which is why we charge less than the recommended scheduled fee set out by the current Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Clinical Psychologist
$260 per 50-minute appointment (Medicare rebate of $145.25 with a valid referral)
(The 2025-2026 APS recommended fee for a 46 to 60-minute consultation is $318. More information can be found here).
Referrals
Most clients access our services under the Australian Government’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. This allows eligible clients to receive a rebate for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.
To claim these rebates, you must provide a valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan (EDP) from your GP or psychiatrist before your first appointment.
Medicare Rebates
The table below outlines the estimated costs for clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance with “Extras” cover, you may be eligible for a rebate for psychology services. Rebate amounts vary significantly between funds and policy levels, so we encourage you to check your specific entitlements with your insurer prior to your first appointment.
Please note: You cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a Private Health rebate for the same session.
